COOKIES, COOKIE CAKES + ORDERING.
Q: HOW DOES ORDERING WORK/WHEN DO YOU BAKE?
A: COOKIES:
Preorder deadline: Order by Mon at 8pm ET for Tues delivery, shipping or pickup.
Order by Thurs at 8pm ET for Fri delivery or shipping or Fri/Sat pickup.
- We are open for preorder delivery, pickup, shipping and walk-ins on Tuesdays and Fridays, walk-ins only on Thurs, and pickups + walk-ins on Saturdays. Please refer to our Contact page or Google Maps for our current hours. (Apple Maps does not have our accurate location or hours despite trying to change it many times, so please do not rely on it).
- We operate mainly on a preorder basis (excluding individual walk-in cookies at our storefront) and do not take same day orders. Limited flavors of walk-in cookies are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at our storefront. We do not make lactation cookies for walk-ins or stock our entire menu at the store. Preorders are always recommended, especially around holidays.
COOKIE CAKES:

Cookie cakes are available via preorder on our website; we do not have extras for same-day walk-ins at our storefront.
- Shipping - Cookie cake orders must be received by 8pm ET Monday to ship the same week. We endeavor to get all orders out on Tuesdays, but we reserved Wednesday to ship some custom orders or for busy weeks. Ground, 2-Day or Next-Day Air is available, depending upon your state. (Unlike our cookies, our cakes are a bit more delicate so we want them to spend as little time in transit as possible).
- Our custom boxes allow for 4 cookies to ship in a compartment below the cake. Cookie bundles are available in preset options to add-on to the cake order at a discount. Any cookies added to the order outside of these bundles ship separately for an additional shipping fee and the 6 cookie minimum applies.
- Local Delivery & Pickup - Cookie cakes are available via preorder on our normal baking schedule for pickup and delivery in our hot pink bakery boxes with black grosgrain ribbon. Add-on cookies will be packaged as usual depending on your selection (pink box only, individual wrapping only, or individual wrapping + pink box). Ordering a cake only? It will be packaged in our pink bakery box. Individual wrapping does not apply to cakes.
Cookie Cake Custom Messages: Use your imagination! We encourage funny, bold, sarcastic, irreverent, silly messages, and swear words with or without * or ! as letters, however we of course reserve the right to refuse to accept racist, homophobic, misogynistic messages, slurs, threats or the like and your order will be immediately cancelled.
"If I send a cake to my ex will they know it was me?" We are not obligated to divulge this information to the recipient and will keep your information private if you request it. After all, we are sending innocent, delicious cookie cakes! This goes for secret admirers, too. ;) The shipping label will simply show it came from our bakery and we do not provide packing slips. Your "gift" will remain completely anonymous. Simply email us after placing the order to let us know you'd like to remain anonymous and we will add a vow of silence to your order. =)
Q: CAN YOU MAKE ME A CUSTOM COOKIE CAKE DESIGN OR CUSTOMIZE COLORS?
A: We do not customize cakes beyond the designs and options available on the website.
Q: DO MAKE GLUTEN-FREE/LOW SUGAR/VEGAN/NUT-FREE/DAIRY-FREE/PALEO (INSERT SPECIAL DIET HERE) ETC. COOKIES? WILL YOU CONSIDER MAKING THEM?
A: No, sorry! Some of our cookies do not have nuts, however all cookies are made in a kitchen that handles peanuts and tree nuts. Our Motherloaded cookie does not contain flour, however we cannot call any cookies gluten-free due to the possibility of cross-contamination.
Q: CAN YOU LEAVE OUT A CERTAIN INGREDIENT FOR ME?
A: We cannot make custom cookies, sorry.
Q: CAN I CALL YOU TO PLACE MY ORDER? CAN YOU CALL ME?
A: We do not have a store phone or phone number; all communication is handled over email and we respond promptly M-F 8AM-6PM. All orders under 100 cookies should be placed on our website, unless you need to ship boxes to multiple addresses; then we will create the order for you and email you a link to pay securely on our site.
Q: THE SPECIAL I WANTED IS SOLD OUT! WILL IT BE RESTOCKED?
A: Once a special is sold out online, it is not restocked; we rotate our seasonal specials (and 99% of specials are available only 1x/year) so be on the lookout for the next one!
Q: HOW BIG ARE YOUR COOKIES?
A: They're huge! Each cookie is weighed to at least 140g/4.94oz before baking, or about 2-3 average cookies in one-- perfect for sharing (or not!) ;-)
Q: HOW ARE YOUR COOKIES PACKAGED?

Local Delivery + Pickup:
"Pink Box Only" Cookies are laid out inside the box as if you'd gone to any bakery case and asked for cookies. The min to a box is 4. We include a flavor insert with storage + heating instructions, links to our website, and a plastic knife. Don't need the flavor insert? Check the box at checkout.
"Individual Wrap" - Cookies are pacakaged inside our colorful, resealable and super fun cookie bags and placed in a paper bag for carrying.
"Individual Wrap + Pink Box" - the premium option for freshness (although our cookies will stay soft for a few days without them!) or for extra impact. Cookies are packaged in our colorful cookie bags and placed "shuffled card deck style" inside the pink box with bow. Recommended as an upscale gift or for an extra-luxe presentation.
Note: Orders of <4 cookies are automatically individually wrapped and placed inside a paper bag.
Nationwide Shipping:
Cookies are individually wrapped inside our colorful, resealable cookie bags with flavor names and ingredients and packaged in our custom black and white logo boxes with a cookie cell divider for the best possible protection for shipping. We also include a card inside the box with storage and heating instructions and links to our website.
Q: WILL YOU MAKE SMALLER COOKIES?
A: That's kind of against our religion. Jokes aside, our cookies are purposefully huge and decadent; we love them crispy/chewy outside and gooey inside and we think they're the perfect size for indulging, saving some for later (props)-- or slicing and sharing. ;) However, we do make 2-bite cookie balls called Reballs on a made-to-order basis of 10 tubes or more. Each tube contains 3 balls and starts at $5/each. Email us to inquire about current flavors.
Q: DO YOU HAVE NUTRITION FACTS OR MACROS FOR YOUR COOKIES?
A: Our cookies are made with real butter, sugar, flour and gourmet chocolate; they're huge and the best freakin' cookie you'll ever have. In fact, you might say they're "#worthit." Those are your facts. We think you should enjoy every damn bite. And hey, they freeze well if you only want a bite now and want to save some for later.
Q: DO YOU CREATE CUSTOM COOKIE FLAVORS? CAN YOU PUT MY LOGO/ARTWORK ON YOUR COOKIES?
A: Sorry, but we don't have the ability to write or print on our cookies, nor do we create custom flavors; each recipe we create is time consuming and labor/cost intensive to perfect; we don't just throw different toppings or food colorings into our cookies to make them "custom."
Q: WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO WARM UP YOUR COOKIES?
A: From the counter: For a fresh-from-the-oven gooey center, pop them in the microwave for about 12 seconds. From the fridge: Same as above but bump it up a few secs. From the freezer: Allow to fully thaw (~30 mins minimum) before follow the above instructions. No microwave? No problem. Try 300° for 5 mins.
Q: HOW SHOULD I STORE YOUR COOKIES AND HOW LONG DO THEY STAY FRESH?
STORING DIRECTIONS: Our preservative-free cookies ship the day they’re baked so they’re as fresh as possible. Store them in an airtight container or in their individual bags on the counter for up to at least 10 days from shipping date. For the freshest possible cookies, we recommend consuming within 3 days or storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
BUT I WANT A SECRET FREEZER STASH: We totally get that. ;) Our cookies freeze beautifully: wrap them in a freezer bag, press out all the air, and freeze for 6+ months. Thaw on the counter for one hour or until room temp before heating.
Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY EXTRA COOKIES LYING AROUND THAT I CAN BUY LAST-MINUTE?
A: Yes, we bake a limited number of extra cookies per batch and have them individually wrapped for purchase at our kitchen/storefront (21 Isaacs St, Norwalk) on the days we are open. We only have a limited amount of extras until we sell out-- we always suggest getting a preorder in to reserve the flavors you want! We do not make lactation cookies for walk-ins, nor do we stock our entire menu for walk-ins.
Q: DO YOU OFFER QUANTITY DISCOUNTS?
A: Yes, please email hey@rebeldaughtercookies.com for bulk pricing on orders of over 100 cookies or wholesale inquiries. And if you're a regular customer, or plan to be, make sure you sign up for our loyalty rewards program to earn Rebel Daughter "dough" for every purchase made + other easy ways to earn point$!
Q: WILL YOU MAKE A DONATION TO MY CHARITY?
A: We receive many, many donation requests per month and as a small business, are unable to respond to them all, or donate as much as we would love to, in an ideal world. We make our charitable donation decisions based off the values of our company and employees and in response to the current affairs in the world but there is only so much we are able to give. Thanks in advance for your understanding!
Q: WHAT ARE LACTATION COOKIES?
A: Lactation cookies are made specifically for nursing mothers using galactagogues (read: foods thought to increase a nursing mother’s milk supply): old fashioned rolled oats, ground flax, and brewer’s yeast. Although we encourage you to do your own research, some women swear by them! Usually, they end up tasting like chalky biscuits, and we wanted to change that—mothers make enough sacrifices already.
And no, if you’re not nursing, eating them will not make you suddenly start producing milk! =) Oats, flax, and brewer’s yeast are all nutritious ingredients and simply good for you, nursing or not. Now we made them taste good, too. They aren't just for new moms; dads, kids and non-moms alike all count our lactation cookies as some of their favs on our menu! If you like oatmeal cookies, don't be shy, give 'em a try!
DELIVERY.
Q: WHERE/WHEN DO YOU DELIVER?
A: We currently deliver on Tuesdays and Fridays only. Orders are typically delivered between 12:00-4:30pm. You'll get an email from our website when your order is fulfilled and out for delivery. Our driver will ring/knock to let you know your order has arrived and leave the cookies on your doorstep if there is no answer. We are not responsible for lost/eaten/stolen cookies.
- ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY 8:00pm ET before the next T/F baking day. There is a $8.99 local delivery per order, which goes directly to our driver. Unlike other mass delivery companies, by employing our own driver, 100% of your delivery fee goes directly to her. Thank you for your support!
- Delivery Area Examples: Darien, Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport, Wilton
- Examples that are UPS Ground shipping: Easton, Danbury, Redding, Ridgefield, Trumbull, Bethel, Milford and the rest of the 48 contiguous US.
Q: WHAT IF AN ANIMAL/ETC. EATS THE COOKIES OFF MY PORCH?
A: We are so sorry, but this is outside of our control and we are not liable. Please be reminded that deliveries are made between 12:00pm-4:30pm; you'll receive a fulfillment email when your cookies are on their way to you. If no one can be home at the time of delivery, consider leaving a bug/animal-proof cooler outside for your delivery and special instructions for the driver in the delivery/pickup notes field at checkout.
PICKUP.
Q: DO YOU HAVE A STOREFRONT?
A: Yes, we are located at 21 Isaacs Street, Norwalk, CT but we are not your typical retail bakery since we mainly operate on a preorder basis. However, we are open Tuesday-Saturday for first-come, first serve, walk-in cookies and preorder pickups! The earlier you arrive, the better selection. We do encourage preorders to reserve the cookies you want! Please refer to our Contact page or Google Maps for the latest storefront hours.
Q: WHAT IF I MISS MY PICKUP?
We will send you a reminder email if it's getting close to pickup time and we haven't heard from you. If you clean forget (it happens!) you can pick up on any of the other days we are open for the rest of that week--until we give up on you and toss them. Please don't make us do that.
Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY EXTRA COOKIES I COULD BUY FOR PICKUP?
A: Yes, we bake extra cookies per batch for walk-ins but once we sell out, we are done for the day. We do not stock lactation cookies or our entire menu at the store. Send us an Instagram DM or email if you want to check inventory before you come!
SHIPPING.
Q: IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?
A: Local: There is no minimum order for local delivery (from Stamford up to Fairfield, CT) or free pickup!
Shipping: There is a minimum of 6 cookies per order (max 12 per box) for nationwide shipping only. There is a warning pop-up if you try to check out with less than 6 cookies in your cart. If you ignore the pop-up and check out with less than 6 cookies for shipping, your order will be automatically cancelled.
Q: HOW ARE COOKIES PACKAGED FOR SHIPPING?
A:
- COOKIES: Cookies are individually sealed inside sturdy, custom resealable cookie bags surrounded by pink + black crinkle.
- We do NOT ship with ice packs in summer. Why? In addition to the extra cost we would have to pass on to you, ice packs melt within a few hours; your packages are in transit for day(s).
- Melted chocolate in summer? We use big chunks of high quality chocolate bars, not wax-covered chips. Some melted chocolate in transit is to be expected and a reality of shipping cookies across the country made with premium quality chocolate in summer; they can be put into the refrigerator to harden upon receipt.
- INSERTS: Inside the box we include an insert with heating and storage directions and links to the website where cookie types and ingredients can be found.
- GIFT NOTES: The gift note is hand-written in silver ink on the INSIDE FOLD-DOWN PANEL of the box itself.

Q: WHAT ARE THE UPS GROUND TRANSIT TIMES?
A: UPS does not count weekends or holidays in their transit times so please take that into consideration when ordering and may not arrive on Saturday (even when Overnight Air is selected for Friday shipping). Here is an estimate of Ground shipping transit times from our Norwalk, CT location:

Q: HOW DO THE SHIPPING CHARGES WORK?
A: There is a flat rate shipping fee for every 6-12 cookies. After that, additional shipping charges apply.
- 6-12 cookies: 1 RDC box, 1 shipping charge
- 13-24 cookies: - 2 RDC boxes, 2 shipping charges
- 25-50 cookies: - 3 RDC boxes, 3 shipping charges OR plain-box discount bulk shipping
- 51-100 cookies: - 2 plain-box discount bulk shipping
Please note our black logo boxes hold a max of 12 of our large cookies.
Q: WHAT IS THE "DISCOUNT BULK SHIPPING" OPTION AT CHECKOUT?
A: Discount bulk shipping means instead of paying for multiple black + white RDC logo boxes, you can opt for us to ship your cookies in a plain, no-frills cardboard shipping box for a more economical alternative. This is a good option if you're shipping a large order of cookies to a workplace, for example, and have no need for fancy, "giftable" packaging. This option will kick in after 25 cookies and up to 100.
Q: TELL ME MORE ABOUT SHIPPING POLICIES.
A: All packages ship via UPS ground shipping or UPS expedited shipping.
- We ship a maximum of 12 cookies per box. After 12, additional shipping fees apply for up to 24 and 36 cookies to ship our cookies in our signature black and pink branded Rebel Daughter boxes. After 24 cookies, plain-box, no frills bulk shipping options kick in for up to 100 cookies.
- UPS only counts business days in their transit times, excluding the day the package is mailed, holidays and weekends.
- Once your package leaves our bakery, it is out of our hands. We are not UPS and unfortunately have no control over shipping delays, mishaps, or weather.
- 1-day ground shipping is not overnight shipping. If the package is mailed on a Friday-- in certain, but not all circumstances, the package may arrive on Monday instead of Saturday.
- Please keep this in mind when placing orders Tuesday-Thursday; they will ship out on Friday!
- We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
- Packages are delivered and left according to UPS policies. We bear no responsibility for delayed, missing or lost packages. We do not require a signature for delivery but your UPS driver might at their discretion.
- But sometimes, sh!t happens: If your package is missing/lost/arrives damaged please let us know right away (within a day) and we will file a claim with UPS and refund or replace the order. If damaged, please take photos of all sides of the box and contents and do not discard the product.
Q: OH NO, MY COOKIES ARE DELAYED. WILL THEY STILL BE FRESH?
A: Our cookies are individually wrapped for freshness and will still be delicious for at least 10 days. We use the highest quality ingredients in our cookies and they are soft-baked, so they stay as fresh as possible when shipped nationally. Of course, we always want our customers to experience our cookies as fresh as possible. But if your package is delayed, don't worry! =)
